Fall 2013 New York Bridal Market

This market trip was a very special experience as I spent quality time in the showrooms of all the design houses that I represent at Ever After. Spending time on the showroom floor allowed for me to get up close and personal with the latest collections and speak at length with the design and sales teams about which pieces would be best for my Ever After brides. Here are some of the moments we captured on the showroom floors of our designers:

Camille Thiry Russler Celebrates The 10th Anniversary of Ever After

On October 4th I was fortunate enough to celebrate a very special milestone for my boutique Ever After. We celebrated 10 years of business and 10 years of stunning bridal fashion. The evening was dedicated to the people who have made this all possible, my brides as I highlighted 50 0f my most Iconic Brides from the past decade. We transformed the Cruz Building to a fashion wonderland,  it was the perfect capsulation of how Ever After started and where it is going in our bright future ahead. Below are some of my favorite images from an evening that will live in my heart and mind forever.  Thank you to my brides, my wonderful team, and all of our partners: The Cruz Building, Thierry’s Catering, Always Flowers, and Modern Luxury Brides of South Florida & The Caribbean Magazine that made that night a reality!

Camille Thiry Russler Creates An Artistic Space For Ever After’s 10 Year Anniversary Celebration

The Cruz Building provided the perfect storybook setting for me to create a one-of-a-kind experience during my anniversary celebration. The elegant three-level landscape took guests on a journey through my boutique’s unprecedented success. From their romantic balconies to lace imprinted textured walls, my inspiration was complimented with the venue’s authentic European and French/ New Orleans architecture and art that was used to present the best of bridal couture fashion. Of course, the transformation of the Cruz Building would have not been complete without the stunning gowns and accessories of my Iconic Brides, truly taking the Cruz Building to another level and created an artistic space of fashion and memories.

With my roots in education, I felt it was important to share this cultivation of high fashion with local art and design students from the area. I called upon my good friend Mrs. Parsons from the Art Institute to share this special exhibit with her students. Touring the exhibit with the students was one of my favorite memories from our anniversary experience.

Camille Thiry Russler Sets Her Gallery With Her 50 Iconic Brides For Ever After’s 10 Year Anniversary Celebration

My Anniversary Event was truly a wonderful night that I will cherish forever. But, when people ask me what my favorite moment was it was a moment that not everyone got to see. It was the day before the event, our Wednesday set up, where I got to spend quality time with my 50 Iconic Brides reliving their bridal moment with each of them as we set up their vignettes. Here I have collected some of my favorite behind the scenes moments of that special day:

New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 RTW… Fashion & Style Coming To Life

Fashion & Style…. What thoughts are brought to the mind when you come across these words?? New York is the fashion capital of the world, I see trends on the runway and believe in taking them to the showroom floor and setting them. Fashion Weeks here in New York are tactile moments in fashion in which we can experience moments and trends being birthed on the runways at Lincoln Center. With another successful and eye opening trip to Manhattan, here are my thoughts on NYFW Spring 2013.

For myself these words have been the foundation of a unique experience… these two words represent the authenticity and transparency of what is spoken from my soul and onto my showroom floor. I have been dressing women for one of the most important moments in their lives for 10 years. It has truly been an honor that most people do not have the opportunity!

To begin this Ever After journey I had to educate, research, create, and explore. I did this in the great city of New York! It had different forms and many travels all successful and evoking different moments in the pages of Ever After’s story. As I return home from last visit to NY I feel a sense of pride in what I represent and the business I am so passionate about!! Not everyone is about to get to do what they truly love for a living!

When you follow fashion you look to trends to guide you from season to season. In the 1600′s when fashion was created they had to create the concept of trends and with that concept this industry was born. I took to setting my own trend in Bridal with the creation of  a new concept of a modern day salon with a unique experience unlike any other. I followed designers that believed in the principle of the modern day woman without compromising the traditions of yesterday. With my idea set in place I began to see a transparent generational shift occur on my showroom floor. The customs of yesterday became our woman’s couture fashion of today.

A good friend always reminds me that I breathe and live fashion. At NYFW when the music starts, the lights hit the runway and the parade of fashions begin something remarkable occurs when fashion & style begin live and breathe in front of our very eyes.

Camille Thiry Russler & Ever After Celebrate Fashion’s Night Out 2012 Showcasing Reem Acra From The Red Carpet To The White Aisle And Accessories By Maria Elena Headpieces & Ana Mari Ortega Custom Jewelry

For Fashion’s Night Out we celebrated the true craftsmanship of designer Reem Acra. The showroom was adorned with her most memorable red carpet moments from the past 5 years, showing the growing trend of Red Carpet Gowns translating to White Aisle moments for my Ever After Brides. To keep with our theme of Bridal here at Ever After we also dedicated the evening to bridal beauty and accessories, the finishing touches that every brides needs to complete her look. From the gown to the veil and, of course, the glass slipper, Ever After styles the bridal look from head to toe  which only made it fitting to feature the exquisite works of  Maria Elena Headpieces and Ana Mari Ortega custom jewelry.  It was a fantastic evening of fashion, beauty, and tasty treats!

Planning Your Wedding Wardrobe With Camille Thiry Russler

Your wedding wardrobe is a selection of ensembles that reflect your personal style and also transition you into a completely new chapter of womanhood. It is the perfect time to play with clothes: color palettes, styles, and designers.  I have compiled My Top Tips For Your Wedding Wardrobe:

Define your style! Identify what pieces you relate to. In these days of social media and technology great sites like Polyvore,, and Pinterest allow you to collect looks and narrow down your selections until your board becomes a true road map to your wedding wardrobe.

Be adventurous with your selections. Don’t be afraid to breathe new life into your look by exploring new fits and silhouettes.

Create a detailed list of your wedding events:

  1. Engagement Party
  2. Bridal Shower
  3. Bachelorette Party
  4. Welcome Dinner
  5. Rehearsal Dinner
  6. Post Wedding Brunch

Be sure to include the season, time of day, and feel of each event.

Plan your Honeymoon wardrobe. Surprise your husband with exciting outfits that embrace the spirit of all the fun events you  have planned for the Honeymoon.

Go beyond your wardrobe; complete your looks with new make-up and hairstyles.

Accessorize to pull the entire look together. Create inspiration boards of earrings, bracelets, scarves, and handbags.

Choose shoes that are versatile and easily interchangeable with your looks.

Designate a budget!

Create a shopping schedule to spread out your buys. Identify categories and dedicate shopping excursions for each.

Last but not least, your lingerie for the boudoir on your wedding night and honeymoon AND the basics that complement your figure. Have fun, don’t be shy, and embrace becoming a Mrs.

A wedding is so much more than just planning decor. Enjoy all the moments on your special journey!
